Chogadiya is an ancient Hindu Vedic Astrology time guide used to find auspicious (good) and inauspicious (bad) times of the day. It is widely used for starting travel, new ventures, or any important activity.
The 7 Types of Chogadiya & Their Meanings
Amrit (Best)
MoonExcellent for all types of work.
Shubh (Good)
JupiterEspecially good for marriage, ceremonies, and celebrations.
Labh (Gain)
MercuryGreat for education, learning new skills, and starting business.
Char (Neutral)
VenusBest for travel and movement-related activities.
Udveg (Bad)
SunGenerally avoided, but can be good for government-related work.
Kaal (Loss)
SaturnAvoided for most good work, except wealth accumulation activities.
Rog (Evil)
MarsAvoided for good work. Recommended only for conflicts or defeating enemies.
🧮 Calculation Method
The time from Sunrise to Sunset is called 'Day Chogadiya' and Sunset to next Sunrise is 'Night Chogadiya'. Each period is divided into 8 equal parts.
⚠️ Important Rules
- No auspicious work should be done during Vaar Vela, Kaal Vela, and Kaal Ratri.
- If a good Chogadiya (like Amrit) overlaps with Rahu Kaal, Rahu Kaal takes precedence and the time should be avoided.
